feldspar

Feldspar is a kind of aluminosilicate minerals containing calcium, sodium and potassium. There are many kinds of feldspar, such as albite, calcium feldspar, barium feldspar, barium ice feldspar, microplagioclase, orthoclase, dioclase and so on. They all have glassy luster, a variety of colors, there are colorless, white, yellow, pink, green, gray, black and so on. Some are transparent, some are translucent. The feldspar itself should be colorless and transparent. The reason why it is colored or not completely transparent is that it contains other impurities. Some are lumps, some are plates, some are columns or needles, and so on.

In general, feldspar exists in volcanic rocks and metamorphic rocks are very small, only 0.1 ~ 10 mm, up to 5 ~ 10 cm in porphyry, and in some pegmatite up to tens of meters.

Feldspar is a raw material for the ceramic and glass industries. Some feldspar has a beautiful color or color, can be used as a gem material.
