Adding 5.0% (150 mesh) of clinal zeolite powder in 2 reps of grass carp diet could increase the survival rate by 14.0%, increase the relative growth rate by 10.8%, decrease the feed conversion ratio by 0.28, and increase the intestinal protease activity by 27.0%, but the hepatopancreas protease activity was not affected. It had no adverse effects on biochemical indexes such as BUN, GBT, CR, CH, TG and bone and meat quality of grass carp (Chen Jianming, 1992).

The experiment added 5.0% zeolite powder or 2.5% zeolite powder +2.5% superphosphate (fertilizer) in the feed of grass carp species and adult fish. Results The growth, fatness, back muscle composition, hemoglobin and feed digestibility of grass carp in the 5.0% zeolite group were better than those in the control group and the 2.5% zeolite and superphosphate groups. Zeolite powder group has an obvious effect of promoting growth and changing the body shape of grass carp to produce high-quality grass carp. The experiment also pointed out that the amount of zeolite powder added, on the hemoglobin (HB) urea nitrogen (BUN) and other blood indicators have an effect, on blood sugar (BG), erythrocyte specific volume (%), blood calcium (Ca2-) total cholesterol (TC) and triglyceride (TG) and other indicators have no significant effect. The tests were carried out in an aquarium and a pond. The aquarium size was 90×45×60 cm, and there were six in total. The test carp size was 11 ~ 16 grams, and 230 grams of fish species were put into each tank. 2% clinoptilolite (180 mesh) was used to replace the inorganic salt in the control group, other conditions were the same as those in the control group. The casting rate was 7% with four feeds a day. The test tank covers an area of 7.37 mu, the water depth is 1 meter, and 6500 fish species are released in mu. The feed is the same as the aquarium. The experiment lasted for 40 days in the aquarium and 50 days in the pond. The average weight gain of experimental group was 10.52% higher than that of control group, and the feed conversion ratio was 38.26% lower than that of control group. (Chen Duoxu 1991)

Using 50kg zeolite powder (200 mesh) per mu water depth of 1 meter can remove 95% ammonia nitrogen in water, purify water quality and alleviate the phenomenon of water transfer (li songxun, 1993). When the total ammonia nitrogen in the shrimp pond is more than twice the allowable content, that is, it reaches 1.2mg/L. After the zeolite is treated with 16mg/L, the ammonia nitrogen content in the pond water can be reduced to the safe concentration. (sun guoping (1997), when zeolite is used as water quality modifier, the general amount of seawater is 80ppm and the amount of fresh water is 15ppm. (Hu Wenping 1998)

The carrier

Zeolite has a variety of basic conditions for additive premix carrier and diluent, zeolite is neutral pH between 7 ~ 7.5, its water when only 3.4 ~ 3.9%, and is not easy to be affected with moisture and contains water of crystallization of inorganic salt trace ingredients can absorb the water, enhance the fluidity of feed. Zeolite surface roughness and porous structure, so that it has a strong carrying capacity, not only can make the material evenly adsorbed on the surface, and can be adsorbed to the holes and channels, improve the availability of the material and greatly improve the mixing uniformity. At the same time, the release time of trace components can be extended appropriately, which is more conducive to animal absorption. In addition, zeolite can be processed as required, generally in 30 mesh to 200 mesh arbitrary choice. This provides great convenience for the selection of carrier and diluent specifications for different materials. Zeolite acid resistance, bulk density of 1.2 ~ 1.4kg/ l, without oil and crude fiber and no electrostatic phenomenon, these characteristics are in line with the carrier and diluent should have the conditions. Therefore, it should be further researched, developed and utilized.
